Golf Ball Tutorial
Hey there, I am trying to do the golf ball tutorial on this website, but it doesn't seem to work right. If you don't know what I'm talking about please go here:
http://www.photoshopcafe.com/tutoria.../Golf_ball.htm.
When you get to step 3, the instruction that says:
Ctrl-click Layer 1 (the white circle you created) and press Shift-Delete to bring up your Fill options dialogue. This is impossible. I cannot make multiple selections and fill anything. Also, Shift-Delete doesn't even bring up the Fill options dialogue.
But I think maybe I got past that part successfully, but then when I get to the part that says:
10. Press Ctrl-T to bring up Free Tansform and rotate this layer 45 degrees. Press Enter.
11. Filter:Blur:Gassian Blur 2.0 pixels
12. Now Ctrl-click Layer 1, and hit Ctrl-F to repeat the blur
I get confused again because, again, I cannot select multiple layers and and repeat the blur for both the layers. It simply doesn't work.
If anyone has any information on how to do this I would really appreciate it. Please help if you can. Thanks so much.

first, make sure that you are clicking on the thumbnail image of the layer when you are ctrl-clicking on the layer. If you want to do this for more than one layer, you have to ctrl+Shift Click on the thumbnail.
When you hold down ctrl and move your mouse over the layer thumbnail it should change to a hand with a marquee box over it.
Second, the shortcut key on newer versions of PS is Shift+F5 for the fill options dialogue...
I hope this helps

Thank you
Hey there, thanks for the info. I haven't tried it out yet, but I'm going to try it in a few minutes. Do you know if this texture can be used on a 3D model?

Got It
Got it man, thanks a lot for the help. I do believe some instructions should be added to the tutorial. Maybe I will email the person who created it. Thanks again!
