Water effect.. hard to be brocken, pls help!

Hi friends, Colin acctually told me how to do this but somehow i don't get it. (Thank you anyway Colin). Can someone maybe tell me how to do the lady on the leaf? Colin told me to use the find edges filter and then with the magic wand tool extrude it but I don't get that result

i'm not sure where it is in ps 7, but in 6 it's under image>extract.
