    The Future vs the Past

The idea was to create an argument between all art forms, from classical to the present. I used photoshop, Z-brush, and a bit of 3d modeling. This designŽll surely stop traffic!

Hey that is Awesome- How did you do the arms?

Thanks! It started as a crazy thought..then it turned into a cool looking sketch..from there hours was spent trying to bring it to life.

I created the arms in 3d. Then I took a sample from Monas neck and made a large texture using Photoshops clone tool. I used z-brush to apply the texture to the model. Back in Photoshop, I used the smudge tool and a series of cuts, pasting and distorting to wrap the sleeves around the arms.

Ok...for the facial expression. After creating the arms...I used Photoshop for the rest of the design...90%. Altering Monas face was basicly by freehand using a number of tools and filters to get that look. Since Im a left handed artist and I paint in 2d with my right hand..everything is sort of backwards. Although I couldve painted the face and scanned it in, I wanted to save time by manipulating and exagerating instead.
