adding more than one jpeg to layer palette

I can't figure out how to add more than 1 jpeg image to the layer palette. I want to place a photo of my kid in a photo of her grandparents but can't figure out how to get both photos into CS2.

Please send help!

Open both images, then drag and drop on image into the other, and the dropped image will be copied onto a new layer.

Open both images where? Drag and drop them where? When I drag the second photo to the layer palette the first photo disappears.

1st open a new document and then Ctrl+O to open the two pix
2nd choose the move tool from ur tool bar menu and then drag to the documet which is new and hold the shift key to be centerd

if that didn't work try these options 1st open the two pics CTRL+A TO SELECT & then CTRL+C to copy and then Ctrl+V to paste on the new
then do that to the second pic
