So its a bit annoying when I have to hide each palette manually after getting what I need. I kinda wish they had done with InDesign does and have every palette fly-out when needed. This way is good too - very customisable.

I also blogged about it on www.perezfox.com - have a read.

hey scott, simply use your brushes palette as an icon (default behaviour), right click it and select 'Auto-Collapse Icon Palettes', this way it will disappear when you click outside it

the interface is WAY improved, goes really well with my new 19" CRT

new 19" CRT? Are you being cheeky?

I think you need to get yourself a new 20" LCD - like night and day my friend.

    PS CS3 beta freezes

    I run a Power PC G4, 10.4.8; dual 1.8 GHz; 1 GB ram

The machine and my applications run as they should.
I have downloaded PS CS3 and verified it 3 times.
I have trashed it 3 times.

Photoshop CS3 freezes when I click on FILE
I can open it by dragging a JPEG icon onto PS CS3 in the dock. It freezes when I click on 'shadow-highlights'

I have spent considerable time trying to make it work. This is my first Adobe frustration.
