    png help Please

    I have a PNG image for my avatar and it is not transparent?? I saved for web and the transparent option is picked. I checked it in an image viewer, it showed up with the checkered background, but now that it is uploaded it has a white background???

    try saving it as a .gif with a transparent bg. that's what I did with my sig.

    ya I can but, I just read in the new book that PNG allows for shadows and such, like GIFs don't.. maybe I need to reread that part !:P
