I think i see some progress. I like the M v F sorta reminds me of the concept a little behind dvf diane von's logo. I would use the MvF with the shutter circle pattern behind it. next to it play with it. Use that shape . Try to place the type playing with the shape. I deffintely would try continue with the shutter and the MvF. deffintely keep the lower case red. I would say. Maybee make the Shutter a grey tone.

My rant but thats how i would play with it for another hundred hours.

From a typographical perspective, i would suggest tightening the space between the M V slightly (known as kerning). I would be tempted to close the overall space slightly of the MVS (tracking) pulling it away from your shutter illustration so that everything is nice and optically balanced. However if your intention is to play on the word 'Envious' I think you need to consider introducing a concept to link the idea. A graphic representation of green eyes for instance or some other envy concept, this could look very cool if done with style and simplicity.

When someone tells me that, I typically reply, "You can't afford not to". The business and marketplace you're entering is going to demand it.

I apologize, with the description of the business and marketplace you are entering that isn't an issue (a couple of grand) I certainly don't want to trash anyones dream. I thought the logo was an ego thing on your part and not a finance issue.

A sincere wish for Good Luck!
