Although we are in the digital age a course like this is well worth the time and effort if you have not had any exposure to dark room work and techniques.
It educates you into what your digital camera and filters are doing and the purpose. Understanding is a good teacher.
    Great link Colin, many thanks.

    G'day, Y'all,
I agree. I spent 25 years in darkrooms and am working toward getting another going now. I like black and white photos. A traditional photographic darkroom has some advantages a computer can never have. Suppose you stayed up late the night before and can barely keep your eyes open. When the editor walks by would you rather be in a darkroom behind a locked door and a sign that says "Do not open or darkness will leak out" or would you rather be in front of a computer screen, snoring loudly? Your call.
Or suppose your girlfriend drops by on her lunch hour. Would you rather spend it sitting in front of a computer or in a dark room?
