This flaw was brought up a few days ago (while I was away) and it has gotten worse. Basically it comes down to this, don't open unknown attachments. Don't even look at the email because it could have an inline attachment. Originally the flaw was in WMF(windows metafile) but Symantec has reported that even GIF/JPG files can be used in the exploit.

For the time being I won't be accepting "funny" emails and will not be connecting to transfer files via instant messenger. I suggest that you guys do the same to stay safe, obviously Mac is not affected but it doesn't hurt to stay safe.

Things to remember
* Make sure your virus scanner is up to date
* Turn on Windows Updates for the time being
* Make sure you are using the latest version of Windows (SP2)
* Be careful and trust only people you really know.
