Sliced Image Spreads out when viewed in 1024x768

Hello,
I created an image in Photoshop is 730x462 for a Web Page. I sliced it to make a pop-up menu in Dreamweaver... It works to a certain point.
When I see the image in the smalesst resolution 640x480 it looks really big and I have to scroll down and across. WHEN I SEE IT IN 1024x768 THE IMAGE SPREADS OUT AND I CAN SEE WHITE LINES BETWEEN THE IMAGES....IT LOOKS TERRIBLE..HOW CAN I GET CORRECT THE PROBLEM....
Can you please HELP_ME I NEED TO FINISH...WHAT CAN I DO?

can u take a screenshot of what it looks like so i can get a better idea?

a screenshot and code would be helpful.

but in the interim,
I would first check your table code to make sure it's absolute not relative

second check the popup menu to make sure it doesn't extend beyond the cell it was originally intended for. (300 px menu designed for 270 px cell)

Third check to see if by accident your have a &nbsp where it shouldn't be in the cells.
