Yo holla over here
Please and I mean please tell me what you perfer to use when designing a website...............
tables..............or................layers and why
-
Tables basically because they seem to be more dependable and reliable when designing for cross browser compatibility.
Layers usually result in headaches, well for me anyway!!
-
How do you work with tables?? It is too too too hard to work with. You can't even move them freely like you can with layer. Please explain to me how you work with tables please.

if you are using dreamweaver you can move tables freely, you must first create your "main" table and any other tables within that table can be moved around as free as the wind
-
it is quite simple once you understand how they move and what you can and cant do to them
click here for some simple answers to html and almost any web related questions look for tables and just basically mess around and look at other peoples source code... on their sites (view source)
you wont get it right away but with a little playing round you will get it
just remember to plan your site out before you make it draw it photoshop it whatever just make sure you know what your going to do before you try to make it
it will be ten times easier to add content to tables wrather than add tables to your content
-
I use a combination of the both. With DHTML you kinda have to use layers.

Actually as a matter of fact I just recreated a webpage using tables and I am getting the hang of it!! I use the layout view not the standard view
-
Both.
can't live without both.
But use layers carefully, don't overuse!
-
Tables really. I'm not too much of a fan of layers.
