Alternity
I'm writing a book called Alternity. It's about a guy who travels to an alternate reality, and must destroy it in order to keep our reality alive. The whole book is about truth and opposites. In an alternate reality, one would find that everything is a bit reversed. One does not breath oxygen, but carbon monoxide. In an alternate reality, the truth is really a lie. The whole idea is this: Reality minus Truth equals Alternity. Anyway, here's a bit of a posterized cover page. More of a concept than a final piece right now. Just thinking: should I head in this direction?

Love the cover...not quite sure about the "Delete the other one" bit though.

I think it's very pretty, but I'm confused as to what the book is actually about.
Is this a real book, because I'd really like to buy it. I really really like reading

Well, Sally, I'm writing the book. Maybe when it's finished, I'll post a link.
And yes, the catch phrase is a bit strange. Need to get something better. The book is really a compliation of deep thinking put into a pretty entertaining plot. The plot is this:
A quantum scientist stumbles upon an ancient secret that unveils the key to interspace travel. When a Mesopotamian scrip reveals the imminent destruction of our present reality, an undergraduate must travel to another reality where opposites reign. He must destroy a bizzare matrix of items that will come together to destroy the Alternity, and preserve our reality.

I like the concept cover
. The story sounds very intriguing I hope you don't get confused when writing it, I mean opposites, reality, alternity, reversed, crazy Comp just crazy

Yes, Joe, I have to keep a notebook full of details and stuff so I can remember while writing. It's rather easy, once you've got it down. For instance, for most of the names, I just reverse the letters of people in our reality. The idea is that everything is opposite in Alternity.
Currency: rallods
Religious Leader: Epop Naej-Luap IV
Current Campaigns: Proposition 762.8 Alpha
Common Transportation: VUS (Vehicle for Uncoordinated Suspendees)
The whole book should end up a bit quirky, bordering cynical. The setting is a bit odd, too. You see, in Alternity, wizards and fairys are abound, but they are far more technologically advanced than you would usually find them, exploiting hovercraft, interspace travel, ports, and a planetwide government.
And yes, zimm, the title is a bit too dark, I think. But as it is just a concept, I think I'll play around a bit.

I like the main graphic a lot. I don't care for the little sparkly effects, nor the font at the bottom of the page. It just looks "quick and dirty". If you are going to market a book you want it to look as professional as possible. So what I would do is look at a lot of different types of book covers and try to emulate what is being done now. That is what the editors are going to look at. If they see something that looks amateurish at first glance, they are going to toss it. Plus the publishers might just have a staff artist do one for you...so at this point I wouldn't worry about the cover at all until the book is sold.
I really do like the main graphic though.

I'm not really thinking of publishing it, just providing a link.
