I think it's about 90k as is but I'll recompress the sounds and bring that down some. I checked on 3 different machines, a G5, my desktop PC and my laptop??? Anyone else have it load slow?

Cool, that was really puzzling me. I've never heard of a Gecko bowser, is it fairly new or am I reallly losing touch? Thanks for checking Martin.

It was fast for me - I dont think a preloader on a banner is a good idea

Yeah i agree, preloaders on headers should be avoided. obviously unless its a massive file, which yours isnt.
I keep forgeting that Gecko hates flash. sorry for the alarm

lol Gecko in general hates Flash, not just on the Mac. Take it from a developer of Flash Applications. lol I have more issues with Firefox on the PC or Mac and Netscape is just bad.

    Hey Frank!
    I love the concept!
the green light works nice. the blurring on the tire background is perfect and is the tunnel (lights are frickin awesome man!)

No preloader! I agree with Colin. You don't want a preloader. If necessary load in movies at different intervals. I'm on dialup and Safari and it was almost instantaneous. One wierd thing tho, when it loaded I got a gray background with 4 white boxes for a second before the tire began.

I like a border personally. fix the bevel and you're there!

    nice work, my friend!

    Thanks Greg, I appreciate that!

Greg, the gray bg with the white squares was (supposed to be) a road. It's only on the home page but I think I'm gonna lose it after looking at it with fresh eyes, thanks.
