Web colors

I'm trying to use Photoshop to develop web site graphics and I just can't seem to get the colors on the web to look as good as they did when I created the graphic in Photoshop. I checked the web colors box, but I must be missing something.

Gudance would be welcome!

What file type and optimization are you saving at?

I'm saving the files as JPG's, with a quality of "8 -High" (is this what you mean by optimization?), and in Standard format.
