Its the same thing as GoDaddy your website whois information becomes private and your information is not visible for spammers and other abuses that happen.

The difference is GoDaddy uses Domains by Proxy, and they charge for this service. Private registrations are for GoDaddy members only. We can't currently register a .co.uk domain, but I can send you places where you can get a cheap .co.uk domain.

But if your refering to if Whois Privacy Network service works on .co.uk, the answer is yes, it works on any domain extension.
