Canon announces the 8mp EOS 20D.......
"GO HERE" at DP Review for the full specs but it sounds like an awesome camera and definte competition for the Nikon D70. There are several things that this camera adds that will make it worth the investment including the added 2mp which will add quite a bit of information for those large format prints. It states that it will also produce a "true" RAW file format.
Now where do I find that extra work to get the money for it?

I don't think the fact that this cam has 8.2mp makes it atractive to me. It only takes more place on your memoty card and you only "win" 10%.
I don't do posters
But I'll probebly buy this cam as I have three Canon lenses (Sigma24-135/2.8-4.5, Canon50/1.8 and 17-40/F4L) + a Metz44AF-4
Otherwise I'd switched to Leica film

NO! WHY!?
I just bought a Canon 10D and thought it was going to be the newest top-of-the-line camera. So now Canon stabs me in the back with a new model!? Damnit!

Rain there are a lot of other reasons and improvements. What happened to the pics you were selling on Deviant? One thing you are mistaken about and need to understand ..........with digital the more information, the bigger the sensor, the higher the mp the better the shot is going to turn out. ........... Well, that is what I beleive even though that is in dispute. Anyone want to comment on that, backing it up with stats?
Juufa, the 10d is an awesome camera and you shouldn't feel bad.......... like I have always said, "It is the mind behind the camera as much as it is the camera itself"............... x5dr is talking of the G6 not the 20d .......... just so people understand that. The jury is out on the 20D as there are only pre-production pics out.

I understand it Cappy even if the sensor size of the 20D is not bigger then the sensor from the 300D and 6.3mp are enough to get a very decent A3 print. I even get much higher with.....Geniune Fractals. Remember the discussion we had?
And as said, I think of upgrading to the 20D or to a 10D as the prices should really drop

the B&W mode sounds kind of cool. and a 1/8000th shutter speed!
I'm still trying to decide between the 300D and the 10D. I have the money for both. But don't know which I want. Probably go with the 300D since things like this happen and a bigger better camera will always be coming up.

A digital camera would be awesome. LOL! My friend has the 10D. It is pretty nice. I've used it occasionally. The 20D sounds pretty cool, but I'll just save my money for something bigger and better, cause by the time I get the funds, there will be one.
My friend has that new Kodak, can't recall the name, and it is pretty good too. And the price was awesome, I think they've hiked it since then.
