Ugh, tell me about it! I'm fighting a cold at the moment so even with NyQuil on my side, sleep is torturous. I keep tossing and turning and wrestling the blanket in all sorts of crazy ways. We'll see what tonight brings.

Unfortunately, I haven't been sleeping that well in general. I think it's my mattress/bed, but I can't get a new one until I get a new apartment because my bedroom is too small. And I can't get a new apartment until I get a new job. Ugh.

When people ask me what I miss most about college, my answer is always the same — sleep. I used to get 2-3 hours of excersise everyday, go to class, watch movies, hang with friends, and still sleep 8+ hours a night. Clear conscience, I suppose. Everything was balanced and the sleep came easily.

happens to me between school from 7:00am to 2:00pm and working from 12:00am to 6:00am and then random misc stuff takes up all but about 4 hours of my time so i get very little sleep

Sounds like a problem I have. I'm a Red Bull addict. My wife has placed a very large pillow in bed next to her to represent where I normally would be when I go to bed with a recorder next to her to simulate me snoring. I usually do all my work when the Family goes to bed so I can concentrate on my Art to create a retirement piece(hehe). I admit my problem after I bought stock in Red Bull and have now joined a support group of other Energy Drink Users.

lol .....I think most creative people are up all hours because creativity has no bounds. I get most of my inspiration the moment I lay my head on the pillow and just get straight back up and start doing whatever it is. Sometimes the following day I need matchsticks to keep my eyes open ..one day in the future I will sleep a long time so while I am still alive...I am living....

Sleep duration and quality is becoming increasing less the older I get...
I'm good on 4 to 5 solid hours. Have to fall asleep with Tangerine Dream playing on the cd. Then slightest noise wakes me and it takes a while to get back to zzzz. ...and I'm often awake way before the alarm clock goes off.
My wife can sleep on command and through a train wreck.

The same thing happens to me...

What i often do to fight that is to read a book at night. When you read you focus on the story, and you get sleepy after a while, that helps me!
