    Nice work!

I'd change the composition a little. I know why you've framed it the way you have, but I don't think that the subject of the pic is the lily (esp not the leaf). When I look at this pic, my eyes are drawn from the lily leaf to the lily then the girl, but it feels as tho they run right out of the top. I'd try cropping out some of the lower leaf.

Its wasted space when theres so much talent left to show!

On second thoughts - maybe the position of the title at the bottom of the frame makes the pic seem top heavy. Try simply moving the title to the top, first?

I love the red lines; they give it that 'je ne sais qua'.

I have an opposing view to interstellar... I think of it as a composition with a focal point top right...which is very unusual...& my eyes go straight to the girl & lily, then are drawn down (to the centre of the leaf), & the void is very subtly filled & balanced by the subdued leaf. Likewise, I think the text at bottom creates a good balance to the top-heavy design, & to move it to the top would throw the design out of whack. The only thing I would've experimented with myself, would be to try a couple of the diagonal lines bottom left (rather than, or as well as top right) just to see how it looks. I might've tried seeing how it would be affected by a subtle texture to the black bg too.

I think it's a very pretty piece with a nice Asian feel...I like how the leaf adds colour to the predominantly red, black & white design. Nice one emm!

I like the black background and the white, the lines in the water which I assume are the roots running from lilly to lilly are distracting even though they are a natural part of the work. I really love the transformation of the dress out of the lilly but then with the shoulder exposed it almost looks like a poor transistion even though it is part of the original shot of the girl.......... a different dress or girl so there is a more seamless transistion would work better for me......... overall though it is a great composition with an awesome choice of colors......... did you shoot either of the photographs?

Very nice clean looking work Emm
I can't help but think if it would be better just with the black background, white flower and girl. Good blending with the girl and flower. Nice work.

Interesting thoughts, everyone! I started to edit it in accordance to your suggestions, but then as often happens, it took a road of it's own, and I ended up with this one, which I think I like better. At least today.

Cappy, she's not supposed to be the flower, she's just landed in it.
No, I've credited at deviantart, but forgot here. The beautiful lily composition is linda's at sxc.hu, the beautiful woman is retrodiva at deviantart. So, what do you think of this one?
