I like it but the lighter tentacles look over-exposed.

944ken is quite correct. Gives the piece a bad balance.

I would have to agree with everyone else, the lighter tentacles are a bit too light, but the piece looks good. I like it

it's nice, but it looks like the direct product of some tutorials i've seen, but you say it's your first, so i'll let it slide.

Although this was probably the product of some tutorials, you did in fact do a good job with the design. the little boxes with the lightning and their placement is pretty nice.

some suggestions for the future: tutorials are good, but don't base your peices off of them. if you didn't make this while looking at a tutorial, great job, but I'm willing to bet a whole penny that you did. Use tutorials to learn techniques, not to make images.

To sum it all up, keep up the good work, "one of your first pictures you have made" looks pretty good, and I'm sure you'll move on to make some great stuff. If you think some of my criticism was a bit "harsh" or something of that sort, I sincerely apologise, I just noticed that this was the newbies posting forum. If it was harsh, just tell me and I swear it won't happen again. I'm just trying to help

Some of your tentacles are showing hard lines, which is something to stay way from when designing. They almost seem like they were thrown on the canvas which isn't bad, but doesn't really help the image. Nice work, but it's been seen alot before, since it's your first time, I wish you luck in the future.
