Thread: JPEG quality differences?

  1. #1

    JPEG quality differences?

What is the difference (besides larger file size) between saving a JPEG file in quality 8 than a quality 12?

In this case, the files will be displayed on the web.

I think the difference is that if you saved it at 8, it gets more pixelated as you zoom in as opposed to a 12, where it won't get as pixelated when you zoom.

    Thank you thank you

I would save at 5 for the web

It uses higher compression and reduced the size of files. You can drop quite a lot without really noticing. The compression is more noticable in printed images
