Soccer Site

I have recieved the task of creating a site for a local soccer club, I have created this template and wanted to get initial thoughts on it. My thought is that the soccer ball will show up on the active link. They will be providing me with a higher quality logo within a couple of days. All comments welcome.

In looking at the HTML code, why is the first cell width wider than the table width? I just finished up a course on HTML, and I look at a lot of source code to understand it better.

the cell could be as wide as you want if it's in a table that's fixed.

content will make or break it.

You've got a good start.

Just to make things clean tho' I would tweek the cell sizes. Some browsers may crap out on it.
