What is the best way to put line art in the images? I have some drawings and lines that I want to incorporate. I am sure you have seen them, electrical and circuit scetches ect. Alot of tutorials I have found have files with the lines alreay in white which of course layers quite nicely. What happens if i have the text and lines in black on a white background? Do I just invert them?

Are you talking about architectural drawings like those on a CAD program? If your doing these in photoshop you can do what ever you want, invert, use h/s to make blue line, black line, white line, whatever you want.

mh...u speaking about a technical/pratical solution to add them t oyur image?
play arround with layer-blending-modes.
to cut out white, use: multiply
to cut out black, use: screen
i guess this may help
