Besides the obvious thing that is wrong in this work in progress. What do you all think of this design. This is my first website that I have designed in Photoshop and ImageReady. So, there is some learning curve like the understanding of the slicing tool. Is there an easier way where I don't have to go back to photoshop and make each of my buttons on different layers? Any comments or suggestion would be helpful. Thank you.

aside from the rollover problem, i like it a lot. Its pretty clean and easy on the eyes. Maybe change the background color. I dont know what to....perhaps some sort of a pattern ... not grid, but i think you get the idea. Good work. Oh right one more comment, i wouldnt make the rollover red if i were you

Thanks for your comments and suggestions. Just curious why you wouldn't want the rollover effect red?

The red rollover effect being red isn't the problem, its the fact that its applied to all butons on the roll.
Perhaps you could apply it to just one button at a time...? :)

So, should each button be on it's own layer than just on one layer all together? Right now, I created a new layer when did the buttons.

Yep. Each button on its own layer so that the rollover effect get applied to the button that has the mose over it.
Alternativvely you could have the menu visible on the mouse_off state then hide the entire menu except for the corresponding button which would remian visible on the mouse_on state.

i dont like the header, having it in 2 differnt fonts is weird

I finally got the rollover to work correctly and I also took out the buttons that you see in my previous link compared to this updated link here:

i think you should get rid of the scan lines
also, left align your links, centering = bad
your header still should all be in the same font
the non-first letters stand out more than the 1st letters

Well, you already have my opinions, but number 2 is as Martin says, way more professional looking.
I noticed one other thing. When u rollowver one of the links, it changes red, but if looked at carefully it looks of pretty low quality...No biggy though because its not all that noticable.
Nice work!

i think that the links should be plaintext with a mouse over made with a css

I said red, because its VERY jarring with all the yellow around
