well, having seen jdawg224's space work, i decided to try somthing like that for myself :D
heres the pic i am wokring on, i have been working on ir for a few days now on and off:

I must thank jdawg224 for introducing me to this sytle, i wouldent have attempted space art if he hadent posted his (amazing) work. the thread for his work can be found here:

this piece was made after following 2 tuts, both made by Greg Martin (his work is amazing, i recomend u go and take a look at some of it, and maybe try a few tuts, they are very constructive and well written ~ http://www.dreamweavercafe.com/cafe/viewthread.php?tid=10243 ). the first one i attempted was his starfield tut ( http://gallery.artofgregmartin.com/tuts_arts/making_a_star_field.html ) and the 2nd one was his exelent planets tut ( http://gallery.artofgregmartin.com/tuts_arts/making_a_planet.html )
having made those 2 pieces, i decided to play around a bit, putting them both together to make this piece, and adding more stars/effects etc as i went along. i attempted his tut on making Nebulas, but it was late, and i couldent be bothered doing it (it aint so much a tut as a guidline, and i just couldent fill in some of the blanks left by him ;))
Let me know wot u think, any ways in which i can improve it, thanks ~~~Vimes
