ok i'm doing a website for my job, Thanks to Collins awsome Tuts i'm heading in the right direction. The Boss man oked the layout and now i'm just doing the slices and rollovers and adding images to replace the mocks one i inserted to show as examples. enough info... i did a 800x600 pixel at 72 dpi layout. did i do that correct, cause i'm looking at the size and its 2.6 inches X 2 inches.... that can't be right. what sizes do you guys start with? i want everybody to view it regardless of what res you have your monitor set. Any and all help from you guys would be great. i just hope i don't have to do the whole thing over again! i got most of the pages done already at 800x600!!

Design for 800x600 at 72ppi. It sounds like your images are at 300ppi... Select Image>Image Size then untick the Resample Image box, next change the pixels/inch setting to 72 and click ok. That should do the trick

I usually start off at 800x600, but end up with 1024x768 in mind, leaving a note laughing at those whom are on 800x600 STILL :)

Be careful. Even at 800x600, only 760x420 is actually viewable...

As long as you design for 800 x 600 then insert a messge that the site was designed to be best viewed @ 800 x 600 in I.E. and N.N. 6+ you should be ok....

955x600 if u are using a 1024x768 screen resolution!
That way the design works out that the whole internet explorer window is viewable without and scrollbars or anything
