What you think so far?? Gotta finsh the hair and the eyes shading lots more today, i say couple'a days work :D

only thing I don't like about the picture is how you cut the top of the head off and the bottom of the picture off. You might want to change the canvas size if you did this in photoshop and create the full head and also a little bit more of the bottom part. Just my opinion though. Other than that, it's a great start for you.

Nice cool lion you've got there Area+browN.

I know that you said that you used it fee hand but was that with a tablet or literally free hand?

I asked because I'm after a graphics tablet, the Wacom Intuos 2, but I'm still at the reading up about it stage!!

Sorry by freehand I ment on a tablet Wacom Graphire 2

The hairs gonna take agggess, I dont think there is an easy / good looking suppliment for hair compared to a sing 2 pxl wide brush.:D

I think you've got a great start here.

The cropping off the top of the head doesn't bother me. It makes it more in your face.

I wouldn't go to overboard on the hair unless your going for more realism. If you're going for illustration, keep it as simple as possible.

Look forward to seeing the finished design.
