Hello, All!
I just finished a vist to the Montreal Botanical Garden. It was amazing! I took around 630 photos, then went through them and selected the best ones for this gallery.
I would really appreciate feedback! I consider these photos to be the best that I have done, so please bring me back to Earth if these aren't really that great. I also threw in a couple that I thought were funny/whimsical.
The photos themslves are 1024x768, but I recommend a highr setting to get the left thumbnail pane on your screen.

Looks like a beautiful place.
You have some really great shots there. I absolutely love the fly and 1010074 of the tree.

I'll have to stop by for more, but the one's I looked at were nice.
I'd be there all the time if we had something that nice around here.

Did you happen to take any pics on carnivorous plants?

No, I did not see any carnivorous plants. That would have been great to see a pitcher plant digesting an insect, though. :)
I got lucky with the timing of my visit. It is near the end of most of the flowers' life cycle.
The fly was uncommonly cooperative. My camera was on macro mode, so you can imagine that I had to get quite close. Same goes for the butterfly and the bumblebees. As long as I didn't interfere with their pollen collecting, they seemed oblivious to my presence.
The Montreal Botanical Garden was similar to the garden we have in St. Louis. It was divided into sections like the Chinese Garden, the Japanese Garden, etc. The Botanical Garden in St. Louis is amazing. We have an English Garden, which Montreal does not have. When I get back to St. Louis, I will have to go and take some photos of it.
The tree was "a la Rainier." I am a big fan of his work, so it struck me immediately that the style was similar to his.
Thanks to everyone for their feedback, I really appreciate it!

:) I went through the major part of your photographs here. I was impressed by the beauty of some close-up flowers and loved the mushrooms even if the focus was a lil off.
We have a similaire place to this here and I think of going there.
It's a shame that it is so hard finding such beauties otherwise then in parks.
Men are strange, they destroy nature at one side and park it all in another and say "it's mine, if you want to see, pay";)
btw. Thanks for the compliment. If you want you can check out my photographs by clicking where it says "My Photographs" next to my sig-banner. I parked them there :D

Great shots! But I dont like the dove pic, i mean the pic with 3 doves, it's very dusty, and out of focus, shame, cause doves are such nice birds, the rest looks great! Keep it up!
