Gradient fill

Hi i need to know how to gradient fill an area, like the lighter area in blue and darker area in yellow or something.
get it? :(

You can select the area you want to fill, then open the gradient dialog box to build what ever gradient you want.

choosing colour? maybe change ur foreground and background, is that the one i'm talking about?
