A long story goes with these, but I'll shorten it to he hovered above my head long enough for 15 very fast shots made possible by the new camera.

Rainer---Thanks mate, I know what you mean, I shoot and erase all day long. As soon as I learn this camera I can stop eraseing.
DO2---Thanks man. What where robots modeled after???

did you get the feeling that vultures were hovering around your head?
Nice combination of stop action and blur.

whoa, that is cool, those things move quite fast too. Nice one, that new cam of yours is great, my friend has one and i have borrowed it to do some shots. A very nice cam, i cannot wait til you get used to it, and start showing your skills..:D

fotodog: thanks man, I think if he was bigger I would have been in trouble.
cybrghst: thanks, and yes they move like crazy, I chased him for almost 10 min. when he was 3 -4 feet off the ground and I lost him, I was going to snap a picture of a bird and there he was, above my head hovering, I think he was swearing at me, and he stayed in about a 1 foot box for about 30 seconds before leaving. I did learn 1 thing----I had the camera set wrong for these shots, but I'm getting better slowly.
Thanks again everyone.

Sam- I just relized that you live in Illinois, which part. I am in Columbia, MO, we should try and get together, I am hooking up with a digital photograher this weekend from St. Louis, him and I are going Covered Bridge hunting. lol.
The drive would be that bad, let me know.

Looks like a dragon fly is captured and framed. Unbelivable...! great work...By the way can you tell the name of the camera of your new camera

yaseenshani: thank you, the camera is my new Canon 10 D.
Mike: I'm in Downers Grove, 25 miles west of Chicago. That's a great idea, unfortunately this weekend is out, but we should do this sometime soon.

Great pics Sam! I know what you mean by shoot and erase. I still don't have the timing down on shooting horses at the trot. Walk and gallop are fine, but man trotting is tight.

Those are great shots!

Evan3037; Neither do I. :lol That was just the quickest thing I could come up with, I was in a hurry.
loiosh; Just trying to learn I shoot around 100 a day and save about 20 to 30 to evaluate on the computer. In 2 weeks and over 1000 shots I think I have 10 that I'm really happy with.
DarkPhoenix; Thank you.
