:) I met this fellow when I drove back home from work today and he accepted doing some modeling. See him in a cleaning posture here.
Right outa the cam. Only a lil color retouch in PS but if I'd used b/w mode with a brownish filter of the cam it would have come out finished:)

:) I'm happy you like. I start to get used by this cam and it's funny all those things you can do.
I think that you don't need PS to make a photograpph look decent
Thanks all again:)

Great photographers have been around for almost 200 years, Photoshop for around 20 years.
The better the starting photo, the better all the other uses will be.

What an awesome shot and as Sam pointed out, great shots have been created long before PhotoShop was around.
Your are stepping up in great fashion and form with your new found "hobby" my friend. What a trip to work you must have. Don't take it for granted.
I used to travel a five mile stretch in northern New York that displayed a vista of the Black River Valley with a backdrop of the Adirondack Mountains. I grew up traveling this route thousands of times and did not realize how wonderful it was until I returned after not seeing it for 10 years. I was blown away and wondered how I could have taken such a site for granted.
But, I see that you are finding your everyday travels quite interesting and worthy of photographic memories. I am very curious as to what body of water that is? Very kewl shot, very kewl!
Edit: I love watching the progression of styles and content combined with the tools you choose to express yourself, Rain. Your an interesting soul to say the least.:)

:) Thanks all. I just fixed a lil detail. I had to make it straight and crop it again.
Thanks Cappy for putting a finger on it. I remember telling tukinu at one of his photos that it wasn't straight and even put some lines about this on my tips and tricks page on my website:D
*hits himself strongly at the back head*
So, now I have to find out who Robert Bateman is;)
Thanks again for all those kind words

Robert Bateman is a wildlife painter who has an amazing technique for capturing texture and light.
It's a nice compliment to be compared to him. Because photography is so overshadowed as an artform.
Keep on shootin, my friend!
