Which direction is the light coming from? Seems like the flares are in different spots...

i know how hard it is (because ive tried) but the cracks to me spoil it a little cos they dont look lifelike at all
tell me if u have PSP(paint shop pro) cos i have a good tutorial for making realistic cracks for it then simply import it into the photoshop file

Neat!
Can't read the red type. Hmm seems like the jewels are missing something. They don't look "quite" believeable... Maybe some kind of shading in the edges where the stones would be "set" in? I dunno... can't quite get the words. :-)
Perhaps shorter tines for the spikies there? Hmm. I'll go get some breakfast and look again. :-)

I know they're runes:-p I just can't read what they are. RED type - in runes or english - is hard to read. If they aren't meant to be looked at don't make 'em red. Make 'em and rust or dark brown and just fade them in the background.

I think you've got a good start here.
I would a little separtation from the amulet to the chain. There should be a titch of a shadow their.
As far as the runes, I personally would change them to a carved look into the stone, but that's just me.
The cracks just need a bit of depth and then they're part of the pic for me.
Nice job overall!

I like it, I would feather or blur the edges a bit, to me they look to sharp.

When the.. uhh.. curvey parts of the amulet start to get thin they seem to get harder to see. Not sure really why but it just seems .. hard to explain, anyone wanna help me out or is it just me?
