I'm not sure if the last one is an airplane or an alien.

Yep, that's an alien vessel. They have a cloaking device. Believe me, I know. I've been abducted once, really. But other than that, I'm just fine. Well, if I take my medication on time, that is. :roll

Excellent shots!

:lol:lol Goblin dude, you're the best, man.

Nice shots Sam!
This is one area I have not had success in. But in my defense I've never seen one either.

Thanks for sharing, man.

Cool shots! Given a lengthy exposure, an airplane should have a gallop at low altitude. Could be very high altitude I suppose, but something strikes me as wong about that and I don't know what; I'm going to guess it's a satellite. Really cool shot though. Man it's been a long time since Ive seen aurora. :)

Goblin, was that you? Hang in there,---- we'll be back. ;)
Guys, I'm shocked, I guess it's ignorance of other places. I saw my first aroura on my first trip to northern Wisconsin, since then I always thought they were regular sights up north.
Phil, it's an airplane on landing approach to O'Hare airport. I have a lot of these also, it's surprising how many different lighting arrangments they use. I'll post a few shortly. Satellites are seen by reflected light so they don't flash, just a line of white light but they are generally not bright enough to get a very good image.

Cool thanks for the info. I think it's the line connecting the dots that was bothering me: that would indicate landing lights are on, but if they were, then the winglights (which are out of phase) should be on too. Hmm. Will have to rethink on that. Thanks for the info. :)
