My son and I on one of our walks. The same one where i took the sunset i submitted. He is my rock, my heart, my joy. He is the reason i have no time, . His smile, his innocence. So many things can be said. From when I wake him first thing, to fix him breakfast. Or when its time for bed and a story. He is my inner child come before me. My life!!!

Walk with me my child,
hand in hand in this journey beyond.
I shall guide you, teach you, respect you,
hold you, cradle you in my arms.
For when I look down at you,
it is my inner child come to life,
all the mistakes I made, flash before me,
along with the worries, that made my mother cry.
I want you to have goals and dreams,
each can be achieved, if you try.
Never give up, always give an extra effort,
for no task is to hard, no dream unachievable.
For you are precious and innocent,
there is poison that lurks, and waits,
for an opportunity to overtake your soul.
Do not give in, have faith,
have passion in your heart, and believe.
Listen to what people say,
yet decipher their words, and take in only what is useful.
Knowledge is key to undestanding, but some may steer you wrong.
Education gives you the ability to learn and grow, and decide.
There will be strangers that touch your soul,
and those who try and hurt you.
The ones that grace you with pleasants words or gestures,
show them respect, and pass it on in your life.
The ones who seek to hurt you or bring you down,
step above them, they only want to corrupt your happiness.
When you find love, true love;
hold her, respect her, cherish her, listen to her every word.
Do all the little things, and tell her how you feel, each and every day.
For we all need one soul who matches ours to grow old with.
And growing old alone, has no benefits, only pain, and growing silence.
Hand in hand we walk,
a million thoughts go through my head,
the love i have for you, grows stronger each moment,
and every second your gone, i miss you more and more.
I love you my child, take my hand and walk with me... mh

Your a man whose priorities are golden.
Every child should have a dad as passionate as you.

Nice piece!!

agrees with everyone, passhion and love that deep are rarely portrayed to the one's deserved, let alone shared with strangers. Thank you!

As for the piece, it's beautiful - goes the poem lends itself enderingly. Ha you've brought out the linguist in me!

thank you everyone who commented, i truly appreciate them.

*Rainer--amigo, amigo, thank you for your words, yes they are personal, but they are just the feelings that reside within me. I put it up to share with others.

Greg- ahh, thank you too sir, for the kind comment. But i am no different than you are to yours...

Sam**thanks

Sumo, thank you..

Daniel**thank you sir. Wonderful comment.

Tech**thanks dear, as for viewing the world with innocence again, I think he just helps keep it in perspective. I look at every little thing around, always observing, always watching peoples expressions. I have been like this for years, probably why i hike so much so that i can take in different sceneries. :D Thank you sweetie for you words..

Sonic**thank you..
