I hear you. The sky isn't that great, but better than it was....
I tried something new for me....
Choose two colors.
Made a small selection.
filter => render => clouds.
hit Ctrl-T, and use perspective.
Make sure it covers the sky area of the photo.
change normal into darken......

interesting. the acid burn around the edge is a bit distracting, only cause of the hairline solid border though. have u tried OnOne PhotoFrame 4.5 yet? Awesome for framing photos...

No mixie i didn't. Don't have the money right now. Bought myself a new lens, a 150-500mm lens from Sigma.
Is it cool?

It's interesting to say the least.
The trees a little too sharp for my personal taste. Not sure if it's the saturation or the hard edge itself.
The sky technique is fine, I like it but I can't help but think that the with the sharpness in detail and the highlights that it deserves a sunnier partly cloudy sky. I'd like to see this sky techniques on a more muted scene.
Keep on rockin' it, Hermie!!

Thanx Fotodog. Will do someday. It may need a different approach...
