I am trying to put a 'floating' image into a presentation in powerpoint. By floating i mean, with a transparent background. i have a leaf that i want to 'float', without having a white background. looks like a blob if i leave the background in, since the presentation's background is black.
in photoshop, how to i give a colored text a white edge....
either will do.
need this pronto and i'm totally lost!!! help!!!
Using Photoshop Elements you can outline text by selecting the text, creating a new layer then using the selection add a stroke outline selection from the Edit drop down menu.
To save your leaf without a background you will need to save the file in the gif file format, selecting black as the transparent color.

simply truly, I have done this before transferring an image from photoshop and putting it in power point, but i didn't use gif file format, i used png file format i am sure you can use both. but i personally use png. and with the png format you can have a transparent background.
ps. i hope this helps.
