I'm very new to the web, reading here I learned that I need a host but how do I upload to it? Do I need something else, if so what, and where do get it.
Thanks for any help.

Are you hand coding the html or using a WYSIWYG program? If you're using A WYSIWYG (ie. Front Page, Dreamweaver, etc.) then you can publish using it or use FTP, if you're hand coding you'll need FTP software. You can probably find a free verison of FTP software on cnet.com in their downloads section.

Thanks cfire but I don't have a clue about what your talking about ( I'm newer at this than you think ), I am just trying to post some work here. I'm getting an unexpected education. :lol

Ok, sorry about that, I'll try to explain a little better. :) I thought you were bulding a website, hence the remarks regarding html and html editors. To post an image here (except for contests) it has to be hosted somewhere on the web. To get the pic from your computer to the webhost you'll need to have software to transfer the files. FTP (file transfer protocol) software is what you'll need to accomplish that. I hope this helps instead of adding to your confusion. btw~FTP software is generally very easy to use. :)
Good luck! :)
PS~There are some sites deviantart.com (I believe) is one will let you upload pics directly from your computer. If you find one of those and upload it there you can then add a link to it here. :)

On a MAC eh? Be back in 5mins.

Okay seems that forum thread was deleted. Anyway I have had recommendations from mac users about these 2 for free.

rbrowser (http://www.rbrowser.com/index.html)
ftp thingy (http://homepages.tig.com.au/~cthulhu/modern/ftp_thingy/app.html) - simple yet effective apparently
