Hermie, you really need to get your legs straightened out.
I like the angle, and it's an interesting post technique... sort of like pencil crayon.
Intresting edit Hermie! I would like to see it with warmer color temperature, but its only me i suppose :cheers

~ Barry ~ This would be the view of what the pilot saw just before impact. :D
Very interesting composition Hermie. Looks like an illustration plate in an old story book. I like the boarder treatment. Could we see the original shot?
Every time I think I have some decent pics I see new images by Hermie or Juha that make my work look amateurish. Don't know why, maybe it's the unfamilarity of their subject/landscape/location choices or my over familiarity of my subject matter and techniques. Maybe it's because I regard their work at the top of the "Hey, that's impressive" list. Either way, their work is an inspiration for me. :notworthy

I really like this Hermie. The angle gives the pic a feel of movement and the grittiness adds to the feeling.
I think Ron hit the nail on the head with his comment about this being what the pilot saw just before impact !

But how do I get AND the mountains in the back, AND the river in front in one shot? YES by turning the camera around :lol
Yes the technique is made with the topaz filters (what else! ;)) Adjust and simplify..... Simplify has a great way of making something into cartoon kinda. I was playing with it, reading about. This was the outcome......
Thanx for liking and the compliment.
Jusu - You really not want to be on there (the path) without a jacket!! It wasn't warm that day..... :P
Ron - Here ya go with the original.....

Thanx for the comment gives me a boost to shoot some more like this (or just digging deeper in the very big stack of photos). Border is easy.... I use a path and the brush ;) For the black area underneath the text is also a brush.
You made my day start really great, reading these words
OG - Thanx a lot my friend. The angle is just because i couldn't get the mountain and the river in one shot, so i just turned the camera, no big deal :lol
Hermie, Hi!
Great capture.
That photograph reminds me of my first (AND LAST) helicopter ride. :o

I've covered lots of angles on Snowdon, strangely never the Watkin Path. I love the shot, tho to be honest the first thing I did was tilt my head. Have you ever been tempted by stitching. This would be a good solution to the problem of not fitting enough in the frame (... I could go on...)
But lets focus on your pic! I think the finish is fantastic, but in the background I'm not so keen where the mountain is more 'photographic'. Of course, it would work if you cropped to the top of the mid-ground tree-line and substituted a sky, but that wouldn't be faithful to its location. Would more pp to the background area work? I dunno.
Dilemma.

I love angle shots! A great way to have everything on a single photo. Of course i love pano's too, but in this shot i didn't thought it was necessary and still think it's not.
The idea of the creation is a pencil drawing kinda.
