Im sorry, just to clarify here....
You did say painting right? As in no camera involved? hmmmm
This is amazing work! I feel the hand was a bit rushed as it looks kind of flat. Especially around the thumb. Other then that man, his face looks so real it scary
Colin - I think this guy will just need his own collection?

It's hard to discern whether it's a photograph or painting-even when zoomed in!
And I thought your other one was amazing....

Brilliant work again Bala, really amazing attention to detail.
However, I would have to agree with Thorne (Politik), regarding the hand, as that stood out to me too. But great work none the less.

Once again, Wow!!! You my friend are one very talented individual. Do you paint in traditional mediums at all?

To me the hand is perfect as is, the powder, the grime, all of it.

I think it's wonderful. You did a great job all the way through.
My only thought on the hand is that you might add a minor reflective color from the areas that might cast a little to the edges. It might also be that your contrast in your shadows are not as great as on the rest of your illustration.
My first look didn't pick it up at all...looks great!

Bala, that's an incredibly beautiful piece of work, but it is interesting that the hand is attracting so much attention. Far be it for me to comment on your work, but, if there is a problem with the hand, then it might be because of 2 things:
1. I think that the hand looks disembododied from the figure, as there is no real visual clue/link that the hand belongs to the figure, and I suspect that subliminally, this might be a problem for the viewer? Maybe by adding a hint of the hem of the cuff of his shirt, using the same orange cotton? Showing a little more of the hand by moving it to the left might also help.
2. I know it's a foreshortened view of the bent fingers (bending forward toward the viewer), but it also appears to me that the hand might be slightly too small in proportion to the face?
Of course, that is only my opinion, and I also know that the more you look at any one area or element of an image, the more "odd" it starts to look!

That is an amazing piece of work! Really nice
I added the image tags, its pretty big, but in this case I don't mind, it's worth looking at large :)

Nicely done.
One of the best photorealism efforts I've seen in a very long time.
the level of detail and attention to the photographic qualities is impressive.
WOW!

The attention to detail on the face and beard (especially) is superb, some of the best I have seen. The hat, though, looks a little "fuzzy" to me for lack of a better term. Certainly not nit picking, as this is FAR more than I can ever hope to do. Superb job overall, congrats on making Expose!

hi jinx,
Thanx for the comment.well, i dont strain myself to complete my projects atonce.I do my personal projects only when i'm free from other works. But i spend hours and hours of time in detailing my works.thats true and one at a time.not many.

How is that even possible? You did all that with just Photoshop alone?
Damn!
I think I can do this too. But reversed. Grab a photo, and just reverse your process. So, from photo to sketch..
Instead of sketch to photo.

Hello
Good work. But all your works seems to be digital manipulations, least a recreation from an existing image. As VBX said, it is a photo to sketch work. Nothing creative.
Hope to see some creative works from you. If you do have, please post it.

I disagree there... I think it's extremely creative.

This is fantastic work. I'd expect this from conventional art media, not a tablet and ps. You give me hope.
Thanks for shareing.
