I have been having some problems with Photoshop for a while now. It almost seems like the program doesn't know how to properly proportion documents. For example, say that I create a new document at 5 inch. x 5 inch., when the document shows up on the screen its in the shape of a rectangle instead of a square. When I brought up the ruler along the sides of the document that shows how big the image is, the inches don't match up. It's almost like you have two different sized rulers that give you two different lengths for the same measurement. In addition to this, when I print the document out, the image ends up getting stretched sometimes conpletely ruining my work.
I am beyond frustrated with this but I can't seem to figure out how to fix the problem. Can someone tell me what is going on and how I can get this fixed so I can get back to creating my artwork? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
