Ready for a Friendly Battle

I'm up for my first battle. Anyone got any ideas?

I do voluteer work for the local high school and their news paper staff asked me if would come up with a logo for them reflecting their motto for the year. Their particulars for it was kind of interesting to work with and I almost ask for the crews help on it, but didn't. Still, I think it would make an interesting challenge. They told me their motto was "Snoop for the Scoop" and asked if I'd come up with something involving a magnafying glass for the "Snoop" and an ice cream cone for the "Scoop". Putting those together in a serious manner was interesting to say the least. If interested, here's the challenge run down:

A 2" X 2" graphic including a magnafying glass and ice cream cone.

Other variables that can be included to enhance the graphic are a newspaper, the school colors (Green and Gold) and the school mascot (an "Airedale Terrier")

Simplier the better, but stylish.

Got a few ideas rolling around in my head for this one.

Maybe we could have a little competition and get some senior forum members or the school newspaper staff to be the judges, or something like that, and the school would have them a new logo.

Anybody interested?

The school has already pressed the one I gave them, I just wanted to see if someone else could create something out of those two items that would encompass the ideals behind a news paper.
