Color Correcting/Copying

Hi, I have Photoshop 7 and have a picture of myself that I would like to correct. I would like to correct a portion of my hair (crown part) to match the same color as the remaining portion of my hair.

Can anybody tell me how to correct this in easy baby steps.

I would probably get the majority of the hair on it's own layer and use image>adjustments>replace color. Select the hair color you would like to change and use the hue and saturation sliders to match it with the rest.
