Learning. Does that count?
4 chords, intro to "I Walk the Line" and a short B.B. King riff.
I 've had a beatup old nylon string acoustic for many years. Recently purchased an Aslin Dane "Bohemian", which is a Brian May Red Special knockoff.

I've been playing guitar/bass for years.
I'm definitely no lead guitarist but I love to play.
Someday, I'll own my own Les Paul but for now I'm rather fond of my Martin acoustic/electric

I started playing when I was in middle-school, however back then I wasn't interested
in doing things that took work (go figure now) and quit soon after. Kinda wish I had
kept doing it.. and I still have the guitar.

Started learning about a year ago, haven't gotten around to writing anything original, but I can pick up a new song pretty quickly...
I just got a little Squire Strat from Rockely's a few weeks ago, my first electric, no whammy bar, but I can live with it.
I also play a 1973 Alvarez jumbo acoustic that actually belongs to my mother, but has the cleanest sound of any acoustic I've heard. hanging on to that one.

I've heard good things about the Fast Track Pro and will be picking one up for myself within the next couple on months for a small writing studio setup.
Currently we are using a Lexicon Omega which is, I understand, a bit more finicky to set up correctly depending on the OS -- but it's working great as well for off-the-floor stuff where we have a number of instruments submixed through our board and feeding the Omega. We've only done preliminary MIDI sends though and will probably need to pick up a MIDI hub for proper routing.

Ended up picking up a Yamaha Audiogram3. So far, I'm digging it -- no drivers to install, no power cable. MIDI is seperate out through an EDIROL UM-1X which I've had for years.

Colin, you rich Ba$$$rds you P%%ss me off. I played for about 50 years and then I took athritiis ( if that's how you spell it) in my left thumb, and I can't play now. I used to play a Fender semi acoustic, and I miss it so much. The cost of old age. My son, Danny, keeps showing me how much he has improved and I keep saying, very good, I like it. All the time I am thinking lots of bad things. (like wait till your my age).
I keep quoting songs And We Built Ths City on Rock and Roll.
That aint Elvis. I am talking about real Rock.
If anyone wants to talk about real music, give me an u2u. I know real music.
My regards to all music lovers
Jim
Sorry Boss for being a prat but this is one forum I think I can say what I like to you. I was a Pro.
My Regards
Jim
p.s. I played as a support artist (group) to T-Rex in Glasgow and Edinburgh).

I play an Ibanez RG with floyd rose tremolo. Also, I am trying the new Raven line in the form of the RG100H with the 4x12 slant cab. It's working good so far.

I started playing guitar about 3 years ago. I enjoy it , it's a great release. I can't say that for those around me though. Scotsman, i'm sorry about your playing days being over. By the sounds of things you must have been a firey one. When I started playing I bumped into an elderly pro on holiday who had had a stroke and lost most of his abilities on the left side of his body. He was inspired to have a bash at the ol' guitar again a dug his out, so he said but it was lurking close by. You could see him battle to get his fingers moving but every now and then a spot of the old pro reared it's weary head and those chords rang out. The thing that struck me most was the pleasure that beamed from his sick face every time he struck a verse true. He taught me a lot the old geaser, especially about appreciation. To appreciate NOW what you have because a time IS coming when all will start to fade. So Scotsman, here's to you:cheers. May your son bless his child with the gift you have inspired him to learn. You'll always be at his finger tips.

I used to play, but then had a car accident while moving from University back to my parents place and all my stuff broke. My guitar, Laptop, X-box and even my Audemars Piguet (http://www.chrono24.com/en/audemarspiguet/index.htm) watch. That was 3 years ago. I haven't played since, but i want to start again.

I'd never owned or even played a guitar like this before and even after 12 nonstop years, it still has the ability to surprise me with it's depth and beauty.

A year later and Hermie sold his guitars and amps for quit a lot of money. Used it to buy myself some good stuff in the photography world....
Things I sold are: Fender Telecaster (mex.), EKO 12 string and a acoustic guitar. Another thing is my amp, a Orange!! and some pedals and stuff....
Still love it but simply don't have the time anymore....
