im considering buying a Canon EOS 300v today. I've been given a good price and i think this might be a good camera for a beginner..?
Has anyone any points of view on this, or some good advices?
Spesifications: Canon 300v (http://www.eos-magazine.com/System_EOS300Vspec.html)

dissen, my friend if only i knew about cameras. I would say go ahead due to the fact that it is a canon, and you really cannot go wrong. But that is just my humble opinion.:D

Very good camera, it doesn't say which lens it comes with but trust me you will want more. :lol Try shooting a few pics on manual on every roll, it allows you to get very creative but it takes practise.
Good choise and good luck, remember we will demand pictures. :lol

The EOS 300v is a wonderful camera.
I would put it in the entry-level PRO category.
SOme of the stuff it has for features are pretty cool.
I think you'll have a lot of fun with this.
sorry I didn't get to this earlier.
Look forward to seeing your posts!

Sorry to be so late. I have 2 cameras, an Canon Rebel 2000 and a Sony DSC-717 I am happy with both. I have noticed with an SLR, that the lens makes all the difference. I purchased an Ultrasonic 300mm for my camera and i love the pictures it take because i am a depth of field freak and I use this lens for even close ups. I don't know if that is the "correct" way of doing it, but I like the results.

Hi people and thanks for the replies! :)
i bought the camera and i have shot 4 rolls of films during this vacation. Tomorrow i will get them processed (is that the correct word?..) so i can see the result. Im very excited :)
It was very good to hear that you say the camera is worth the money, and that is also the impression i have after trying it out for some days. I definately discovered i got plenty to learn though- but im ready to work for the knowledge :)
I will try to post some photos - if i find something presentable :)

:) Dissen, my friend from the grand north, I'm sure you did the good deal and I really am impatient (?) to see the results.
@Colin. I have a friend online who just got the Sony too and is so happy with it. I think, if the money alows it, get one for the next year. The only thing wich bothers me a little is the size but then again....a Carl Zeiss lens, can't be bad:)
anyway, I'm gonna keep my Nikon coolpix 2500. It always has its place in my pocket;)
