Hey guys long time no post.

I am trying to make a vector image of my companys logo that I made on Photoshop. I brought it into illustrator and it turned it all into objects. the problem is that the inside parts of the characters are not cut through... it just has white vector in place of the gap like this

the selected area is all black

these areas are the insides that i want to subtract from the the black

I tried selecting the two objects then clicked subtract from shape on pathfinder tab, but nothing happens when i did...?

I am trying to get this done so I can save it EPS formate for a t-shirt tag printing machine. Help is appritiated.
-Thanks

Brandonl, Hi!
Welcome back.

Thank you for the screen shot.

Looks like you are in Live Paint.
Fill your centers (counters) with Fill None Color.

Another way is to create Compound Path.

The better plan is to have your original live text in Illustrator and use Type>Create Outlines.

Hope that helps.

Brandon, you should have imported as a path to Illy.
In PS Go to File > Export > Paths to Illustrator.
