Photography Compitition Help

Our campus is holding a campus wide competition for multiple art categories that will be entered into a magazine. (This is all the information i have thus far). No theme, minimum restrictions (beside nudity and borderline). I tried googling the magazine but came up with nothing.

Any tips on how to start? It is a creative arts magazine. All the other links on the website are broken :lol

As soon as i saw the flyer, two photos popped into my head which i will begin working on. I have until February and am allowed 2 photos

I guess the place to start is choosing the subject. Think about a strong theme before even thinking about the technical side,
