Hey Matt, I bet u can answer this. Is it possible/advisable to have two machines with lightroom2 and share the same lib, say the photos are all on a server and LR2 is set to not move files. Thanks!

ps. i tried point to the lrcat file on another machine and gives me an error:
LR cannot launch catalogue. It is either on a network volume or on a volume on which LR cannot save changes.

Lightroom may exclude network drives, but I would be very surprised.

You really don't need to do this as you can include all the images on a server.

Then just work on the catalog on both machines. You can sync the catalogs together without making additional copies of the images. The catalog files themselves are quite small (Its the previews that make up the size). All you need to do is sync up the catalogs after changes. On one machine, choose export catalog, exclude images and previews from the options. Import to the other machine.
