Welcome to the CAFE, the friendliest place on the net. Here are a few quidelines to keep it that way:
Respect the CAFE:
Main rule is the Golden Rule.. "Treat others how you would like to be treated"
Be nice! This is a friendly board where we don't just discuss graphics but also like to shoot the breeze a bit.
Respect the general rules
Please no pornographic images, no warez talk (software, music or movies) and no offensive language and profanity.. there are childern here
Respecting the artwork
Remember that people are of all skill levels and have poured their heart and soul into their work.When you view others work please be honest and avoid things like "that sux dude" Be constructive and tactful, "using another font rather than comic sans" would be more appropriate. If you really love the work, tell them why... (people want to learn and improve) "Love the color combo and the way the vertical lines bring balance to the piece."
Tip: To get more comments on your work, comment on others work first.

Because there are people from all around the world here, please be sensitive to the opinions and cultures of others. Avoid racial and political comments please.
No public flaming will be tolerated. 3 time offenders will be banned for a month. We realize with so many different people here, there will be the ocassional difference of opinion: If you have a problem with someone please resolve it by U2U.. don't tell the world. (Really we don't want to know and it only brings a dark cloud over the board)
Don't post personal information about other people than yourself.

no huge sigs or attachments. No animated signatures. Please optimize images before uploading, or they will take a long time for people to view and they will probably click elsewhere. Don't forget you can add images to your galleries, (same rules apply for galleries, nudity etc)
Free work
If you have just popped in (or done a google search) to find free design work, don't be surprised if your welcome is not so warm. Many people here make their living by designing. If you were asked to work a few days for free at your job, how would you feel? I think you get it, its a bit uncool to ask. However the people here are more than willing to help you do it yourself and will alwyas be happy to offer advice, tips, resources and critiques to help you discover the joy of designing.
Contests
If you are posting a "personal" contest, you will need to clear it first and verify the prize. We do not look well on people trying to get cheap design work by calling it a contest. If you run a contest, you must award the prize or be banned from the cafe.
Please stay on subject, if you want to discuss a seperate subject, start a new thread. (Don't Hijack someone elses thread) (tip: If your comment doesn't match the header of the thread, you are off topic)
Keep all comments to answering the questions and crits except in the general forum.

Please do a search and look in the faq before asking a question like "how do I post my sig" We have some awesome mods, but please dont wear them out.
You must have 100 posts before requesting a custom title.
