I have been viewing photos taken with my Canon MarkIIIDs on my iMac using the iphoto application and finally bought PhotoShop CS3 to start manipulating. When I try to open a picture file using Bridge the file size and resolution are being reduced to a bare minimum. The file preview panel tells me the file is 30KB and 72ppi when the actual file as viewed in iphoto is very large (5616x3744) and 5MB. I may be doing something retarded and am completely new to PS but why would it do this to the file?
