I am new to photshop and I am really going to use it for pictures for websites and not really art per say. Is a wacom worth my troubles? Just wanted to get thoughts on this...

Well, learning many new things at once is a problem for some folks, and learning to use a tablet takes a bit of concentration at first. So perhaps once you are comfortable with PS u might want to get that bamboo thingee and let us know if it's any good. I have an Intuios3 6x11 (wide) and all the attachments, to include the mouse and I love the thing. BTW, touching up photos with a tablet and pen is way easier inmo then with a mouse. But do some searching on this board to see the trouble some have had with wacom and photoshop, if that's all your gunna use it for...but wacoms are good for lots of stuff, like making ur desk look cool...

Wacom is the way to go.. The only question is which one? Bamboo or Bamboo fun to start is good. For something more serious look at the Intious 3. For hard core there is Cintiq where you paint right on the screen.

I can't wait for the day I have a Cintiq... ah the beauty. Got to play with one in an Apple Reseller when I was in LA last, I think it was the 21", so nice.

Anyone seen that Cintiq tablet the Wacom site advertised as going to ship soon? It was a tablet with a display built into it. Wonder how that is doing? That looked interesting and strange at the same time...

jrock, its meant to be an entry level tablet (I think) but is the best brand around. u can always upgrade if u find it as addictive as some. is there a mouse option? the wacom mouse is great too.
