I've got Chimei CMV 221D monitors (22" wide screen).
Never heard of them? Neither did I. But they have been great and affordable too, around $250 (US).

I like them some much, I bought 3.

I have the 30" Apple Cinema and an older Gateway 21"

For editing I would recommend the big-boy mostly because you can look at the image 1/1 and also include all of the palettes.
